The Universal Peace Movement

John L. Waters June 3, 2005 ©Copyright 2005 by John L. Waters. All Rights Reserved ------------------------------------------------------ The Universal Peace Movement A. Movement and Melody Movement takes a person from one point of view to another and from one idea to another. Movement puts twenty melodies to the same song lyric. "What's the use of that?" you ask. Well, one person prefers one melody to another, and when you have twenty melodies to the same lyric, that's an invitation for someone to write nineteen more poems... one for each tune. The result is lots more songs and lots more singing if people are in the mood. In the mood? Well, yes. With free movement, moods freely rise and a song moves the singer from note to note. Singing and movement are compatible. It makes sense that singing and peace-making go together and come more easily to persons who enjoy movement. So imagine a new society of peace where every day children learn about peace in theory and in practice. We expect they will be happy, musical, and hyperactive by today's standards. We expect they will be humming or singing all the time. B. Universal Education Teaches Mass Depression Today's schools actually teach depression, rigidity, and speech without singing musical notes. For hours a day children sit silently and scarcely move their bodies. Meanwhile, along with the huge ticking wall clock, the teacher drones on and on. Young minds are firmly set as their young butts remain firmly set in chairs. Free movement is denied. Creativity is blocked. The best and brightest student sits still, stands still, never fidgets, doesn’t scribble and doodle, and remembers all the facts. Such exemplary students grow up to win scholarships and land prestigious jobs. But what about empathy? What about compassion? What about feeling the other person's burden? Yes, and what about the long lost gift of melody that isn’t even heard on the radio much anymore? Champions of compassion argue against war, against caging animals, and against forcing young children into the rigid motionless pastures imposed by professional educators. Compassionate persons move about and pay attention to more subjects than school permits. Yes, and observe how Jesus Christ walked around Palestine and taught by parables. The compassion of Jesus is understandable in terms of his own hyperactivity. Today society would put Jesus on Ritalin or some other psychotropic medication which reduces a person's need to move about. Moreover, some things Jesus said still sound crazy to successful and prominent people. In the old days, an uncommon person like Jesus was explained by using the old idea of GOD the Creator. Jesus was a prodigy. A poet could see Jesus as like a lightning bolt thrown by Jupiter to strike down sinners. Today we can simply understand Jesus as a prodigy of great movement, and a prodigious mover of people. Consequently we can bring The Christ back all around the world by studying movement and by engaging in free movements every day. This truly is the way the Messiah will bring peace. C. The Art of Inspiration In drawing, movement makes the pen travel freely over the paper tracing out lines and curves without the mind's being fixed on any idea of what to draw. In meditation the artist lets his or her hand feel the presence of Jesus Christ or some other "compassionate Lord of the dance." In the cosmos, every atom is dancing freely in accord with nature's universal rule of vibration and heat. Indeed, the artist in heat feels attunement with the whole universe and draws freely on his or her inspiration. This freedom enables a child to experience and express the very Heart of God and the Radiance that Adi Da calls "The Bright." Long may IT shine! Even brilliant modern theorists have difficulty tolerating movement and understanding movement. The vacant-minded child who feels the very "Heart of God" vibrates his or her whole body in a rhythmic "HMMMMMA" dance that keeps the child's body rocking back and forth and moving continually in a society where children are taught to remain motionless. Most children comply because they keep their attention fixed on persons and what persons say and do. But a few children let their attention move freely away from persons. These children can't comply with modern demands and expectations and may be punished or medicated by the social authorities. On the other hand, more compassionate people let freedom ring and promote true liberty. D. Every Christ uses Calculus Calculus is the language of subtle movements and changes. Without calculus, even brilliant theorists have no way of accurately understanding nature, and communicating their understanding to other people. Subtle changes in the mind itself are expressed by free movement. As the mind and the body are one, these free movements are expressed as free dancing or free art. They all employ calculus to sense and express feelings and intuitions. These free movements are a cognitive aid and they can be studied and related to problem-solving. One example is given by John 8:1-10 as Jesus “stooped down and wrote upon the ground” which helped him know what to say. The familiar text (John 8:1-10 (New International Version)) reads: 1But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" 6They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." 8Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" CONCLUSION: The End of War Every child is born with The Christ within. The Christ is the super-intuitive and spontaneous problem solver inside of each and every super-creative child. Old cultures block The Christ so that each child learns to be rigid in mind and in body. Free movement isn’t encouraged. A few children pay less attention to society and these “autistics” are often moving despite all the social pressure to be motionless. In the autistics the movement continues and the entire universe is reflected. The handicap of autism is so severe, however, that autistics can’t express in clear speech what their bodies know and feel. Neither could Jesus Christ, and so He was put to death without mercy by a culture of articulate warriors. Soon, out of dire necessity, the scientific understanding of The Christ will end war. Before we can do this, however, we need to study calculus. 12:15PM Friday, June 3, 2005 John L. Waters
